RESTAURANT AT THE END OF THE UNIVERSE...

Those of you who were worrying whether the Universe may survive long enough for you to celebrate your birthday party can rest assured.
New research at Stanford shows that the Universe will probably end in 24 billion years, and not the 11 billion years that scientists were fearing. Thank God! I was actually quite terrified that it would end in just 100 million years...

Isn't teh theory of reincarnation a good deterrent to those who harm the environment :-)
Although, of course, you are talking about the'END' i.e. the earth coming too close to the sun, right?

Yeah.. The sun turns into a red giant in few hundreds of millions of years and the closer planets will get engulfed and Earth might no longer be inhabitable because its too hot. Ofcourse human beings are on the way to destroying the earth's ecology much before any of that happens. The United States refuses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and I think we are headed for the impending doom in a hundred years or so.

Nature has its way of ensuring balance... like the dinosaurs, homo sapiens seem to be bound to face an end.

May be the reason why we dont have time travellers visiting us from the future is because the earth isnt inhabitable anymore.;-)

True! We really don't have to worry about the Universe ending because our present behaviour is going to ensure auto-extinction.
