Rediscovered a childhood favourite- the addictive Tank Wars. God help me now.

Wavefunction said...: I have a similar problem with Firefox. It shows a message saying it blocked pop-up windows but still does not actually block them. Using Safari on my trustworthy Mac seems to solve the problem.
Also, try Opera. That seems to work too.

Chetan said...: Got all inspired and downloaded pacman last night. It was my favourite game and must have spent hours in the school computer lab playing that one. Just learnt that I haven't changed much over time. Have spent the entire day in front of the screen trying to beat my own record of 37,000. Those dos games were just too good!!!; 11:20 PM

Chetan: Absolutely! The DOS games' simplicity still endears them to me. I remember one called 'Gorilla', similar to tank wars, where you had to hit another monkey with a banana.
